Our Sixth Store is Now Open

It has been a very busy October for Team Azendi, with the preparation and opening of our latest store. We have just opened our latest jewellery shop on the busy High Street of the beautiful and historic Yorkshire market town of Skipton.

A Vibrant New Location

Our latest store can be found on the busy High Street of the historic town of Skipton in North Yorkshire.

Known as 'The Gateway to the Dales', Skipton boasts a medieval castle, historic mill and picturesque canal, as well as a host of tempting cafes & restaurants, and a wealth of shopping choices.

The historic cobbled High Street is filled with a vibrant market four days a week. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays see the High Street swell with an assortment of colourful market stalls. Skipton also possesses an array of unique and independent shops selling locally-made gifts, food, art and more. These shops are not just to be found on the High Street but are also hidden down the attractive ginnels and side streets of the town.

Colours, Lights and Cabinets!

It is always important to us that our new stores feel inviting and friendly, as well as creating a display space that is easy to browse. Our Skipton store used to be the old TSB bank and it was quite the conversion to change the plain and business-like interior into a warm and welcoming jewellery store! Following the same interior design and colour palette of our Leeds and Northallerton stores, the shop layout was designed and fitted to our specifications by specialist jewellery cabinet-makers, IWM Designs. We chose honey-toned oak for the cabinets to create warmth in the store. The golden tones of the wood sit beautifully with the blue colour scheme (gorgeous paints from Farrow & Ball). One of the most important aspects of a jewellery store is the lighting so we have made sure that each cabinet is well-lit with bright, daylight LED lights, allowing the finest detail on the jewellery to be clearly seen.

The Final Countdown

Finally, once the building and decorating was complete, the team had a couple of very early starts setting out the displays and placing all the jewellery into the cabinets, ready for opening. It was great to see so many locals peering in the windows and waving a friendly 'hello' as we got everything ready.

The new store opened its doors on Thursday 20th October and we have had such a positive reaction from customers old and new.
