Our Seventh Store is now Open in Ilkley

It has been another busy month for Team Azendi, with the preparation and opening of our latest store. We are now celebrating the opening of our seventh jewellery shop in the centre of the picturesque Yorkshire town of Ilkley.

A Beautiful New Location

Our seventh store can be found on Brook Street, in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. You will see the store as you approach the town, in between Boots and the independent Moin Moin bakery. One-hour free parking spots are available opposite the store, and the large main car-park is just around the corner.

Situated in the Wharfe Valley, at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales, the former spa town rose to fame in the nineteenth century when thousands visited for the fresh invigorating air. The famous Ilkley Moor and dramatic Cow and Calf Rocks overlook the town. The riverside gardens and recently refurbished lido add to the outdoor attractions. 

As well as the beautiful surroundings, Ilkley possesses an array of unique and independent shops, as well as some well-known High Street names.

Colours, Lights and Cabinets!

It is always important to us that our new stores feel inviting and friendly, as well as creating a display space that is easy to browse. Our Ilkley store used to be a cafe, so there was some work to be done to change the interior to a warm and welcoming jewellery store. Following the same interior design and colour palette of our Leeds and Skipton stores, the shop layout was designed and fitted to our specifications by specialist jewellery cabinet-makers, IWM Designs. Golden toned oak cabinets sit beautifully against our blue colour scheme (gorgeous paints from Farrow & Ball). One of the most important aspects of a jewellery store is the lighting, so we have made sure that each cabinet is well-lit with bright, daylight LED lights, allowing the finest detail on the jewellery to be clearly seen.

The Final Countdown

Finally, once the building and decorating was complete, the team had a couple of early starts setting out the displays and placing all the jewellery into the cabinets, ready for opening. It was great to see so many locals peering in the windows and waving a friendly 'hello' as we got everything ready.

The new store opened its doors on Thursday 22nd June and we have had such a positive reaction from customers old and new.
