Prominent among the ancient Greek deities, the huntress Artemis was the goddess of nature, wildlife, and the moon. Artemis was celebrated as the warden of the forests and mountains, and was said to supervise the flowing waters of ancient Greece. Sharing its name with this celebrated goddess, our new collection of natural forms, baroque pearls and textured silver suggests a compelling statement of style and grace.
All Azendi pearl jewellery uses genuine freshwater pearls, selected for their luminosity, lustre and iridescence. For our Artemis collection we have chosen to use playful baroque pearls, whose unique forms display a spectrum of shimmering hues within their depths. Each baroque pearl is individual, having formed freely into their organic shape.
The Artemis collection features textures which emulate weathered stone and natural rock formations, or hand-finished hammered effects which give the look of rippling, flowing water. These hammered and textured effects catch the light with every movement, adding a radiant aspect to the jewellery.
Fashioned from expansive silver links together with freshwater baroque pearls, this classical necklace can be worn in multiple ways. The necklace can be worn with a pendulous teardrop baroque pearl hanging at the front, or rotated to show an oval baroque pearl instead. The pleasing and practical lobster clasp can be hooked into any link of the necklace chain, enabling the creation of a choker, a longer necklace, or a Y-style necklace.
These earrings make a bold and confident statement. A baroque freshwater pearl is suspended from an elegant silver hoop. The earring is completed by a silver pebble-shape with a pleasing & tactile three dimensional form, mirroring the natural form of the baroque pearls. The pearl section can be removed from the hoop to create chic and simple hoop earrings.
